Don’t Overlook Our Many Blessings During Challenging Times
We are living in “interesting times,” as the blessing goes — or was it a curse?

It’s usually attributed as an “ancient Chinese” blessing or curse, depending on who’s telling the story. I’ve learned, it’s neither “ancient” nor “Chinese.” One source tracks it back only as far as “pre-1929” in the “western world.”
I’d say this first quarter of 2020 has undoubtedly qualified as “interesting” if nothing else. And it looks to continue for a while.
These are strange weeks we’ve been navigating — with mandated social distancing to avoid spreading the COVID-19 virus, resulting in shuttered businesses, people ordered to “stay home” or “shelter-in-place,” and entire cities put on “shut-down.”
