My Sudden Decision to Get Away

Attitude Adjustment
I woke up Friday morning, April 17, feeling a little blah. Some mornings I feel so tired of battling the fatigue — it can seem overwhelming.

As I sat up in bed, my dog, Bow leaned up against me — pushed against me — and she looked into my eyes adoringly. But I swear, she looked a little bummed-out too.

I sighed, “We need some outdoor time, don’t we, Girl?”

Her head tilted as she kept looking at me. I thought about — wondering where I could take her. I considered taking her out to The Bosque — a natively wooded area along the Rio Grande River, with walking and biking paths within our city.

“We could go to The Bosque, for a walk,” I mentioned. She perked up a bit, tail wagging slightly. But then I wondered how crowded (or not) it might be. Social distancing is still “a thing” right now, due to the pandemic.

Listening to my Body & Psyche
Then, another idea hit.

“We could go to The Ranch!” Bow’s ears pricked up, her expression suddenly hopeful and uplifted.
